Local information

Delft is located close to Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport. Trains from Schiphol to Delft are about one hour. Rotterdam Airport offers low-cost-airline connections to several European cities. Travel from Rotterdam airport to Delft is about 15 minutes by taxi.

The workshop will be held in the Mechanical Engineering building, Mekelweg 2, lecture room D. A map of the University district and a plan of the Mechanical Engineering building can be downloaded (pdf-format, 0.4 MB). A yellow arrow indicates the venue.


Accessibility of the Workshop Venue by Public Transport

The TU Campus can be reached from Delft Station with city coach 63 and the district lines 121 en 129. Step out at the busstop 'TU Delft Aula'. You see the Mechanical Engineering building in driving direction on the right side. For timetables see de Reiswijzer (in Dutch).

Accessibility of the Workshop Venue by car

The TU Campus is easily accessible by car via the A13, exit Delft Zuid/TU. Turn right at the end of the exit lane of the motor way and keep right. At the next crossing turn right into the Schoemakerstraat. The third street on the left side is the Christian Huygensweg. On the right side of the street you will usually find plenty of free parking lots. Walk to the end of the street and turn left into the Mekelweg. You see the Mechanical Engineering building on the right side.


From the main entrance of the building walk straight ahead inbetween coffee-corner and concierge. The workshop is held in the first lecture room on the left side.
